Thread: Day 3-8: c)Setting Up Links for Zeydoo (Funnelflux)

Next, we'll be setting up tracking links for a Zeydoo offer. Let's go!





1)First of all let's pick an offer to run!

Remember in the first lesson, you were instructed to ask your Zeydoo AM for offer recommendations? Hopefully you've received some suggestions and got approved to run them!

Next, let's decide on an offer and geo to test. We want to choose a geo that has a good amount of traffic (i.e. visitors) on either or both of the traffic networks we'll be testing on (the reason for this was explained in the EXPLANATIONS section in a previous post).

a)Open Up the Traffic Chart at PropellerAds:

-Log into your PropellerAds' account: https://partners.propellerads.com/#/app/auth

-Go to the Traffic Chart: https://partners.propellerads.com/#/app/trafficChart

Make sure "Onclick (Popunder)" is selected at the top (should be by default).

b)Open Up the Traffic Chart at PopAds:

-Log into your PopAds account: https://www.popads.net/users/dashboard/advertiser

-Go to the Inventory Chart: https://www.popads.net/traffics/inventory

c)Pick a geo:

-Pick a geo that is a)a developing country, b)that has either over one million "Total Impressions" on PropellerAds, or "Raw Traffic" on PopAds, or both, c)that is accepted by at least one of the AM-recommended offers.

You can find a list of developing countries on this page (look for section "Developing countries according to International Monetary Fund"): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Developing_country

(If no geo fits all three criteria on EITHER traffic network, forget about the "over one million impressions" requirement. Still, try to choose a geo that has more rather than less traffic. And if none of the AM-recommended offers have top geos that are developing countries, then just choose a geo that is a developed country - but try to avoid geos with the worst competition: US, CA, UK, ZA, AU, NZ.)

-If the chosen geo is accepted by more than one AM-recommend offers, pick ONE offer to test first. If in doubt, pick the one with the lower payout so you may be able to collect more data on smaller spend.



2)Set up the affiliate network on Funnelflux including the postback. (Only needs to be done once ever.)

-Log into Funnelflux Pro. Click on the "Page and Sources" icon in the left menu > the "Offer Sources" tab at the top > the plus sign beside "New".



In the "Offer Source Name" field put "Zeydoo". Click "Save Offer Source".



We've just added the Zeydoo affiliate network to Funnelflux - this only needs to be done one time per affiliate network.

-Next, we want to set up the postback for Zeydoo, so that Zeydoo can send conversion and payout data to Funnelflux Pro. Again, this only needs to be set up once per affiliate network. In Funnelflux Pro, click on the "Settings" icon in the left menu > "System Settings" tab at the top > the copy icon after the url in "Global Postback URL".



-Log into the Zeydoo affiliate dashboard at https://app.zeydoo.com/offers. Go to the left menu > "Postback". Paste the postback url you've copied from Funnelflux Pro into the empty field, then replace "hit=REPLACE" with "hit={ymid}", replace "rev=REPLACE" with "rev={amount}", and delete "&tx=REPLACE".

For example if your original postback from Funnelflux was:

https://ffdomain.com/pb/?hit=REPLACE...CE&rev=REPLACE

Your edited link should look like:

https://ffdomain.com/pb/?hit={ymid}&rev={amount}

Don't forget to click the "Save" button!


3)Add the offer to Funnelflux Pro.

So you've already chosen a geo above, for which there is at least one AM-recommended offer. If there are more than one offers choose ONE to test first. Next we want to add this offer into Funnelflux Pro.

-Go to Zeydoo's dashboard > left menu > "Offers". Find your offer using the filter. The easiest way may be to enter either your offer ID or name in the "ID or Name" field.



-When you find your offers, and see "Request is approved" beneath the offer name, click on the offer name to open up the offer details.



-If instead of "Request is approved" you see "Offer locked", you'd have to click on the offer name to go to offer details, click on the "Request approval" button, and fill out the request form. If you're not sure how to fill it out, do the following:



Let your AM know you've applied to the offer so they can approve it at their convenience. When the offer is approved, click into the offer details and continue to the next step.

-Scroll to the bottom and click on "Start working with this offer".



-An "Add traffic source" window would pop up. Click "+Create new" and put any name ("1" would be fine) and click "Create", then click "Get link".







What Zeydoo allows you to do here, is create one affiliate link per traffic source. This isn't really necessary because we'll be using the tracker's tokens to keep track of this - so we can just use this one affiliate link for all traffic sources.

-Back on the offer details page, you'll see the generate affiliate link in the "Link Settings" section. Click on the copy icon to copy it.



-Go to Funnelflux > "Page and Sources" icon in left menu > "Offers" tab at the top > "+ New".



-In the "Create offer" window, paste the offer link you just copied from Zeydoo into the "Base Offer URL" field. Next you'll need to replace the tokens in the link. Let's say your original link is:

[QUOTE]https://bainushe.com/link?z=1234567&var={SOURCE_ID}&ymid={CLICK_ID}/QUOTE]

Replace the tokens as follows:

https://bainushe.com/link?z=1234567&var={trafficsource-id}&ymid={hit}

-Copy the offer name from Zeydoo and paste it into the "Offer Name" field in Funnelflux Pro.

-For "Source" select "Zeydoo".

-Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Offer".

That could be true! With all these affiliate networks and traffic networks etc. changing their interface all the time, it would be impossible to keep up with the changes.

You can just delete the extra parameters - i.e. the "s={CLICK_ID}&campid={campaignid}".

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Time to give this tutorial yet another overhaul to fix these updates in network interfaces etc.

Most networks will provide more tracking parameters than we will need. Each parameter can be used to pass data back to the network. The question is how much data you want to pass. Many affiliates (including myself) are paranoid and try to avoid passing back anything except the bare minimum (clickid and maybe traffic source id in case lead quality is bad, so the network can tell us which traffic source is sending bad quality so we could stop running campaigns there).

If you're new I would suggest to just stick with clickid/hit-id (depending on your tracker) and the traffic source id. Once you're more familiar with tracking and how to run campaigns you can always choose to pass back more information using more parameters.

Thanks for your reply on my last post, I really appreciate the help!

I was able to input my offer link in the general settings tab, but it wont let me save and move forward until I fix a few errors on the configure data passing page. I've attached an image so you can see.

The error next to var & ymid reads "This parameter conflicts with one that is in your base URL. Please remove one of the conflicting params."

and then the error next to "resulting offer URL" reads "You have duplicated query parameters, please resolve this error first"

any idea on how to move forward?

OK - so there are 2 places where you can specify these parameters and values.

1)The "Configure Data Passing" page.

2)The field where you paste your offer url.

You ONLY need to specify the parameters={values} in ONE of these - when you put them in both you'll get an error.

This is because the tracker will AUTOMATICALLY append the parameters={values} that you specify on the "Configure Data Passing" page, to your final offer link.

So - if you're wanting to leave your "Configure Data Passing" page as-is, you'll need to input your offer link as:
https://coolappland1.com/?l=bNgy8TEN...4012&z=5102193 (i.e. without the parameters)

OR, you can delete all the fields on the "Configure Data Passing" page, and specify your offer link as this instead:
https://coolappland1.com/?l=bNgy8TENccbibjT&b=13244012&z=5102193&var={traff icsource-id}&ymid={hit}
